*Mould creation was completed by the artist. The glassblowing and cold working were carried out by Novotný Glass Studio.
During my internship at the Glass Studio at AAAD, I created a collection of frosted vessels shaped using single-use hot moulds and textile-imprinted moulds. The hot blown glass was captured in a moment between fluidity and structure.
ESSENCE continues my interest in the relationship between material and process. The textile-imprinted moulds left soft traces on the surface, recording touch and pressure. Working with new technologies and an unfamiliar environment required attentiveness and adaptation, allowing the process to guide the final form.
